Operated by the Nevada County Historical Society: an archive of original historical documents and photos made accessible by a comprehensive card index. You will be assisted by volunteers.

Photocopies available, 50 cents each.

Researchers are welcome to access over 30,000 Nevada County historical photographs, nearly 3,000 printed books on early California and Gold Rush history, and thousands of maps of the area.

Operated by Nevada County, the Doris Foley Library is for historical research. It has newspapers on microfilm, cemetery and mortuary indexes, naturalizations, court records, tax records, property records on microfilm, mining collection, maps, directories, local histories and much more.
