The Friends of NCNGRR supports the Nevada County Narrow Gauge Railroad Museum in its mission to preserve the history of the railroad and the restoration of vintage rail equipment used during the narrow gauge era.

The Museum also exhibits a collection of aviation artifacts,photographs, and documents for visitors and historians alike. Exhibits include the NCNCRR Engine 5, vintage rolling stock, an early steam automobile, and other examples of Nevada County’s transportation history.

In addition to supporting to museum operations our Friends receive their names or businesses published in our quarterly newsletter “The Headlamp” which highlights the museum’s progress through pictures and articles. Member’s names are added to the list of “Friends of NCNGRR” maintained in the Museum lobby. Friends also receive a 10% discount on items purchased in the Museum Gift Shop and all donations are credited toward permanent recognition on the Museum Honors wall.
